Blowgun Length
When considering what length of the Custom Blowgun
you would like to have you need to consider several factors.
What is the intended purpose of the blowgun? If
your blowgun is going to be used solely for target shooting then the
longer the better. The longer a Blowgun the more stability is
imparted to the dart since it has a longer stable path before it
leaves the gun.
The longer the blowgun the greater distance it can
be effective.
For hunting small game a shorter blowgun is preferable
since it is easier to move through the woods without getting caught on
brush and other obstacles.

Blowgun Caliber The smaller the caliber of
your blowgun the the less power and distance you can deliver to the
dart.
A 62 caliber Blowgun is well suited for both
hunting and target practice and is the preferred Blowgun for
those entering competitions due to the stability it can impart to a
dart over competition distances.
A 50 caliber Blowgun, if of the proper length,
begins to offer possibilities for hunting. It is perfectly
suited for target shooting.
A 40 caliber Blowgun is best suited for target
practice. While it can be used for hunting it is minimally
effective due to the limitations on power and distance.
